The winner of the Burda Fashion Start contest, the author of the Organic collection, spoke about its creation, about what the fashion industry in Russia lacks and shared plans for the future.

What inspired your collection?
The architecture and landscape of Sydney, Tokyo, Baku, Barcelona and Norway inspired me to create the Organic capsule collection for the Burda Fashion Start 2016 contest.
Why did you decide to take part in the Burda Fashion Start contest?
Design contests are a unique opportunity for a young designer to make himself known. Perhaps the time has come to do it.

What was the most difficult to work on the collection?
For me, the most difficult thing was to cope with the excitement in front of the camera, which was shooting always and everywhere, it was distracting. And in the work on the collection of difficulties did not arise.
When creating collections, what fabrics do you usually use?
I use mainly Italian fabrics of noble shades, mainly natural, with a low content of synthetics. Synthetic additives are necessary: they increase the service life of things, prevent creasing and maintain their shape when washing.
What three words would you describe your style? Why?
Noble minimalism, adult chic.

What are the fashion designers who influenced your work?
Raf Simons, Josep Font, Alber Elbaz.
What are the three most popular trends for the fall-winter season 2016/2017
Velvet, ruffles, oversize.

The fashionable Geppener Studio hosted a large-scale photo shoot as part of a unique competition for young designers Burda Fashion Start. Each of the designers presented his capsule collection of three images.
